My wife and I had the most incredible experience with Enrico and his tours. It was undoubtedly the highlight of our trip to Sicily. His knowledge, warm, engaging, welcoming personality made our visit AMAZING. By the time our visit was over we honestly felt that our relationship was so much more than a tourist/tour guide relationship. He truly became a friend that we look forward to keeping in touch with forever. I certainly give him my highest recommendation possible and know that if you’re fortunate enough to have him as your tour guide, you will certainly agree.

This was our second trip to Sicily, and having Enrico along as our guide and driver was a remarkable experience for a number of reasons. First, his depth of knowledge is impressive and he happily tells you every detail about a particular site or artifact. Sicily has been invaded by so many who have influenced art, architecture, design and cuisine and Enrico ties this all together. His degree in tourism and knowledge of Sicily is a valuable asset!!!! Second, because he has been around the island numerous times, he knows where to go and how to get there. You needn’t be concerned about directions, getting lost, driving in a restricted zone, where to park etc, he’s got it Also he accommodates your schedule. No time pressure … you are on vacation. Third, Enrico is a safe driver. It’s a big deal knowing that your safety is his concern. He never speeds and doesn’t view cutting off other drivers as an Italian sport !!!! Fourth, he is a genuinely warm and engaging individual who is a pleasure to talk with about his experiences in Sicily and how similar they relate to what your experiences are at home. He helped us with our bags up steep steps , he showed up on time to pick us up and smiled through it all. Finally, he is nearly 2 meters tall. We just returned from our trip to Sicily and Enrico made our trip 100% better. His knowledge of all the history and historical places in Sicily is remarkable and you can tell by his enthusiasm that he loves what he does. It is so much nicer to tour by yourselves than with a group so you can go at your own pace. We also appreciated his flexibility in changing things around when the weather didn’t cooperate with already set plans and adding on places to see at the last minute. Enrico is very easy going, we felt like we were touring with a friend. If you are planning a trip to any part of Sicily-get in touch with Enrico. In all my travels,I have never experienced a warmer and more informative tour guide. You see so many sites but to have someone piece together is incredible. We had the absolute pleasure of touring with Enrico in Sicily for 8 days to many towns. Starting in Palmero and ending in Taormina. I can’t recommend him enough! He is a not only incredibly knowledgeable about the history, culture, and hidden gems of the area, but also so personable and engaging that it felt like we were exploring with a good friend. Every detail was explained in such a way that brought the stories of Sicily to life, and he was more than happy to answer questions and tailor the experience to our interests. Enrico was a great guide! We were six friends that traveled together and he came highly recommended from another friend. He was very knowledgeable about where ever we went and took us to some really great places. He was very interested in helping us to find towns of our relatives and connect with the locals. We had lots of fun and laughs. Highly reccomend if traveling to Sicily.

He is so knowledgeable, prompt, courteous, and has the ability to interweave history in a clear and thorough manner that helps you have a full experience when visiting Palermo and Monreale as well as other sites throughout Sicily. Enrico Todaro was our guide and driver in Sicily for ten days. I cannot recommend him highly enough. Enrico had studied to be a tour guide in Italy for four years of college. This was apparent at every stop. He is Sicilian himself, and his affection for the island was always apparent. My wife and I had specific needs: to see and learn about the Greek temples at several sites around the island, and other interesting places and buildings. Enrico completely fulfilled these requirements. I love to drive, but different countries have different styles and roads. We did not wish to waste time trying to determine directions; and as we learned, pedestrian-only zones are not always clearly marked. Enrico drives a new car that he keeps very clean. His driving impressed us with his care, vigilance, alertness, and competence on every road. We did not mind that he let other cars pass his at the reasonable speeds he consistently drove. Enrico met us at the airport and brought us to our hotel. His overview of Palermo and some of its sights on our arrival enabled us to appreciate the city and walk around on our own. As so often subsequently, he knew the staff of a great restaurant and arranged a reservation. His tour of Monreale Reggio, the remarkable Norman cathedral with allover syncretic mosaic ornament was clear and thorough. As we journeyed deep into the Sicilian countryside we had questions about geology and agriculture which he answered to our complete satisfaction, and found suprising features for us to see that we had not known about. At Segesta, Selinunte, Agrigento, and Syracuse we learned about the history of the sites and the peoples who built—and destroyed— them. I have decades of study in that field, and I learned considerably more. This trip was like a semester or two of art and architectural history. Enrico and I had numerous intelligent discussions about questions of architectural form, history, and religion. He was very informative about the Villa Casale at Piazza Armerina, whose huge floor is entirely covered with Roman geometric and pictorial mosaics. Here too Enrico knew a restaurant where we enjoyed another extraordinary meal. He also brought us to the scenic cities of Modica and Noto, where we learned that the movie Cyrano had recently been filmed. Enrico is an intelligent, personable, very knowledgeable person whom we were glad to have had for our guide to Sicily for long informative days over this short period. We came to think of him as a friend.
